27th OCTOBER 2012 – Everybody was anxiously awaiting the bus’ arrival at Wesley Methodist Church. As soon as it arrive, everyone hopped aboard and it took off for Methodist College, where Founder’s Day 2012 was to be held this year.

At Methodist College, Founder’s Day 2012 was kick-started with a rather grand opening parade. The weather was quite good too, with the sun scorching ablaze. We thank God for that! When parade was over, everyone was perspiring. Fortunately, we were brought into a ventilated lecture hall where our sweat soon ceased.

When we calmed down, a prize-giving ceremony for achievers of the President’s Badge was conducted. When the prize-giving ceremony ended, we worshipped the Lord. The Founder’s Day congregation was led by the 1st KL worship team that day. A sermon then began. The sermon tells a bit of Sir William Alexander Smith, the founder’s life. It also speaks to us about volunteering to help in the Boys’ Brigade ministry when we grow up.

When the speech ended, light refreshments such as fried mee hoon, cakes and syrup was served. When everyone was stuffed, we had a telematch. I was put into a team with people from other companies. Soon, we became friends as the telematch made our bonds stronger.
At the end of the day, my team got the third placing while the champions had pendrives sponsored by the college.
I had a really good time during this year’s Founder’s Day and I would be obliged to participate in such an event again next year.
