As part of the regular programme last week, LT Jonathan Chan led us in Bible study and sharing session. The topic of the day was being special. To be special, one needs to be different from others. As we are called to be salt and lightByof the world, we should not fall for temptations in this world, as Romans 12:2 teaches us,
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that be testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and what is acceptable and perfect.
In fact, God made us different from one another; an example would be the look of our face. But we are also made in God’s own image, as Genesis 1:27 says,
So God created men in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Additionally, LT Chan told us that we should not set limitations for ourselves. We should try things we have not done before as they may benefit us. He also said that nothing is impossible – if you really have the will to do something, and do it wholeheartedly, you will be successful in one way or another. Of course, we can’t ask for the moon. Everything takes time to be learned.
