“I Will Never Give Up On You” and “Dad is Awesome, Awesome is Dad” secure nominations in all 7 award categories at the coming 1^st BBVA (Boys’ Brigade Video Awards) 2013. Each squad was given an assignment to produce a short film on Fathers Appreciation Day. Boys were given one month’s time from conceptualising to scripting, casting to shooting and editing their videos. Most videos were submitted near deadline, and they were given to the judges who determined the nominations. One judge said, “It was actually quite a struggle to determine which was ‘best’ among all the ‘greats.’ But finally, the full nomination list is out!”

Both Squad A1 & B2 scored a perfect 7 nominations, followed closely by Squad B1 with 6 nominations.  “爸爸的爱 (A Father’s Love)” did fantastic with 3 nominations. Astounding nominations for Best Actor Category go to Squad Officers Mr. Edward Tai from A2 and Mr. Derek Chan from A1. The battle becomes even more interesting when two brothers, Alvin & Kelvin Tham, are also nominated for this award.

Squad A3’s “A Father’s Love” also grabs another nomination for the Best Supporting Actor for Chiah Yi Her. It will be a memorable evening as the Senior Section Officers will be performing live on that day. To host the occasion, Mr. Yow Kien Yoong was selected to grace the first 1^st Kuala Lumpur BBVA and the red carpet will roll out at 4:00pm on 20 July 2013.
